ok dokie, i have a seperate computer were i keep all my game servers running and i have a question.......
after i inatally setup haloded and updated it with the hotfix and the mapfiles and made all the areas for my custom rules and stuff and i run the server and it works fine.
problem is that when i try to connect to the server it times out, could this be port blocking or do i have to do somting else like run a multiple instance?
help would be greatly liked and hopefully if it works we can have a good ol' fun time =)

If your running this on a seperate PC at your house this means you have a router. You have to port forward the router to the IP of the PC that is running the server. My mind is blank right now but I believe the default port that halo uses is 2310. If I'm wrong on the port # someone correct me.
Basically port forward means you tell the router that all incoming signals on port # 2310 go to the server. Otherwise when you or anyone tries to connect there signal gets to your router but the router doesn't know were to send it.
Check your owners manual or online for how to port forward your router they are all different and I couldn't help you unless you just happen to be running the exact same model I have.
