So you saw [RS] and thought you would like to join? ALL APPS MUST READ THIS, ignorance is NOT bliss, DO NOT FORGET TO READ THE THREADS IN THE LINKS, and simply saying that you never read it will not excuse you if you break a rule.
Clan Riot Squad [RS] Mission Statement:
We at Clan Riot Squad or [RS] are a tight knit group of friends that enjoy playing games and chatting with each other. Many members talk outside of games and even hang out in real life when given the chance. We are primarily a FPS (First Person Shooter) clan. We at Clan Riot Squad do not believe that quantity of recruits is better than quality of recruits. Some clans have several hundred members, but that is not our goal here. We prefer to keep our member count low, and in doing so everyone gets to know each other better.
We at Clan Riot Squad are an active, mature, gaming clan and the highest rank members can routinely be seen gaming along side of new recruits, or just hanging out on ventrilo. We do have a minimum age to join of 16 years old. While this is a very firm rule we do make exceptions from time to time, and invite people under the age of 16, but all such exceptions are at the sole discretion of the Founders.
Clan Riot Squad does have a system of ranks for members to attain, and respect must be given to those of rank for they are the ones who have been here for a long time, and they make this clan possible.
Clan Riot Squad is a veritable melting pot of people. We have members ranging from pre-teens to 40 year old gamers, we have people living in the far corners of the world, and members represent a wide array of origins, backgrounds, economic statuses, races, religions, genders, and sexual persuasions. We do not discriminate during recruiting or afterwards, and do not tolerate people who do.
Our core purpose is the enjoyment of gaming, and establishing a network of friends that can provide you with a constant source of competition.

Title the thread "My Name is (insert your gamer tag here), and I Want to Join"
The thread must contain the following information:
Real Name ? (Although we mainly use gamer tags, it is nice to know peoples first name, after all we are making friends, not just teammates.)
Age ? (16 years or older for regular application, under 16 will require Founder approval)
Location? (A general location helps people to identify and relate, we do sell clan merchandise, and offer rewards to those who win tournaments or donate funds to the clan, in those cases a mailing address would be needed and we have a thread for that in the private, clan only area, but that is an issue for later)
Gamer Tag ? (List the aliases that you play under that we would recognize you as, once in the clan you would be asked to adopt one name only with the [RS] tag added to it)
Games you play ? (List the main games you play online)
Xfire ? (Xfire is not required, but is a very useful program used by many of our members, you can read more about it and download it HERE (http://www.xfire.com/))
Aim/MSM ? (Many members talk outside of games and the forums, you can read more and download them at the sites for AIM (http://www.aim.com/)and MSN (http://get.live.com/messenger/overview))
Ventrilo ? (Let us know if you have and use Ventrilo. It is not a requirement that you have it but it does allow for a more enjoyable gaming experience. We provide a Ventrilo voice server for our members to use while gaming or just plain hanging out, you can read more and download it HERE (http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php); it is free and works on both platforms Windows or MAC. We use the newest version or Windows beta at the bottom of the link. After we verify you meet the minimum requirements you will be given our vent info. )

Once your app has been posted we suggest that you hang out in game and on the forums, feel free to post in the areas that you can view. After you are considered a regular to the server we will add a [rs] tag to the end of your forum account name; you will need to add that when you log in. We ask that you wear that "Minirs" tag while in game too. Having the "Minirs" makes you an enlisted member (still probationary). For the next few weeks you will be encouraged to continue gaming and posting in the new areas you have access to. After a MINIMUM of 45 days (from the time you recieved the [rs] tag) your name will be up for a vote in the officer's forum. If you have been active, posting on the forums, and behaving well, then you will be approved for full membership, and you will be awarded the rank of Warrant Officer. You will gain increased forum and vent privileges. We will then add the [RS] to the end of your forum account; again you will need to add that when you log in. If your vote does not pass at 45 days you will be told why it did not pass, and you will have a MINIMUM of 15 days to try to improve or change whatever was missing. After a sufficient time period you will get your revote. If you pass then you will be given full membership, if not you will lose the [rs] tag and be free to hang out or reapply at a later date.
While this system may seem extremely long and drawn out, we can assure you that we have our reasons. We have a terrific group of gamers, as close out of game as a sports team, fraternity, fighter squad, or some other collective. We know how great we have it here, and we would all gladly go through the process again. The process allows us to weed out deadbeats, asshats who try to hold their breath/tongue for a set short period, fairweather johnsons who just want to join any ole clan, and people who are inconsistent/unreliable. Even the system as it may let a stinker through now and then, but it is rare and helps keep this one of the strongest, closest groups ive ever heard of in online gaming. We don't try to sound elitest, but we know what a great thing we have, and we know that other mature gamers out there that find us will be amazed once they become one of us, trust me, its worth the wait.
