Game Booster

Chemo posted this in the shout box not long ago and many missed it. In fact I did too and flounder pointed me to chemo's shout. Since we have this section now I figured it would be good to place it here.

The program is called Game Booster (http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html) and what it does is shut down all the windows systems that are not needed to game. Then it gives you the option to shut down programs that you may have running and it does not recognize. In that second list I found all but 3 that I needed.

It will totally shut down all those background programs while you game, then once you finish gaming you simply click the "return to normal" button and it will restart all those programs for you.

It will free up anywhere from 100 to 400MB's of ram to game with. Seriously I saw real framerate improvements. The program is really small and turns off completely when not in use.

** thanks Flounder and Rev for pointing it out and giving the idea some life! i actually forgot all about it.

but i love it, it shuts down all the extra processes that one really doesn't need while your gaming. i have it set up on all my 'putors now. and even the wife says she notices a improvement while she's gaming.

I suggest that if your into some heavey gaming,(even light gaming) Game Booster will improve framerates. IDK if there's any other programs out floating in cyber world thats like it. but i think it's the bomb! Enjoy ! :nw
