:-p do you have 1.41? if not, that is the latest patch which you can download from EA - Battlefield 2 (http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/downloads.jsp) best bet is to go with the 1.41 full patch as it will update any version to the latest.

did you create your new account from within the game itself with no complication? i will try to be on tonight to give you a hand. nothing like getting a new game and not being able to enjoy the part that you bought it for.
