Halo CE Server??

I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in playing Halo Custom Edition? A few of us have been messing about and have been playing a few Halo 2 maps on this. It's pretty sweet, looks good and also has the weapons from it as well. A few screenshots are below:-

Downloading the game itself only requires a legitimate Halo CD key. Download the game installer (170mb) here:-

I think that if you like Halo and are getting a bit bored with it, this should reignite your interest!! We've had a lot of fun playing these maps.

What does everyone think about having a server running for a month or so for a test? Let's see if it would be used and popular! I'm more than happy to get one set up if there is enough interest.... :)

like ar said its pretty fun to play,and its nice to have a lot of different maps to play on. I think any of u that play halo would really enjoy it that have not tryed it before and if u have played it long ago install it again and come play a few games :)

i like it, and just picked up another vintage dell xps computer (same model as [RS] Dedicated #1) and was thinking of putting up another server, dont see why we couldnt do this.

Custom maps custome weapons custom vehicles whole new game they have all the halo two maps with the guns

basically custom edition came out as a perk shortly after combat evolved took off, basically its the equivalent of a map editor/level builder program that you can play, so instead of having to be a leet hacker who mods his xbox to be able to jump 100 feet straight up on halo any old schmo can do it, and speaking of that, one of my favorite modded xbox maps was blood gulch super jump, short range weapons, super jumping, no fall damage, basically you jump around like gummi bears all hopped up on gummi juice and try to melee eachother to death, consider it my boomtastic rat race of the ce server

After a minor server crash (thanks Fearless for sorting it!!) the test server is up and running!!!

Die is compiling a map pack for the server, if you like Halo i'd seriously suggest downloading and trailing it. The rotation for the server is:-

H2_Backwoods
H2_Blood_Gulch
H2_Momentum
H2_Warlock
H2_Zanzibar
z_coagulation_h2_pb2
z_sanctuary_h2_pb2
h2-relic

These are all Halo 2 maps with the weapons too (including the energy sword :)). Me or Die will post the link for the map pack once up.

I added some more screen shots hope to get you guys into this game more the tagging we were doing happend by some glitch when we were trying to set up the server they are no longer there but we did have a little fun b4 we set it up right :whitey

I really encourage people to get Halo Custom Edition. people who play the regular halo server will love and enjoy this game halo 2 maps with the weapons bring a whole new element to the table and gives a nice twist to the game play while still keeping fast pace gameplay which we have all grown to love. I urge you all to download it and try it.

i played a bit last night using a cd key i found via google. my game was lagging, so either its the key i used or i need to downgrade my computer to play this! :cool:

do we have to disable the tagging? i would have so much fun with that, do you have any idea how hard it is to spell "Rev is old" with the pistol on blood gulch walls?

next time enough people are on, i say we go play some halo ce, i've been itching to play halo with you guys some more and i just got the ce for my halo... looks fun.
