As most of you know my computer has been KIA for the past month. Unfortunately, I can not figure out the problem and neither has any of my computer inclined friends.
So: I have decided to scrap and sell all my working parts for money for a new one! If any of you guys need anything I'd be willing to sell whatever you may need. First come first serve and you all have priority. I will update later with more information on what I am selling as well as my progress on the new computer. I will be active on the forums as much as I can be, but don't expect me on vent or anything for a while.
This sucks :(
Updates on equipment I'm selling. I'll start with all the big stuff.
~Coolmax MidTower Case. The case I have been using since I started computer gaming. It's a well weathered case with a few good scratches here and there, but it's got a great side vent and the air that can move through it is really good too. No reset switch, it never had one... It has front panel USB and headphone/mic jacks. Again, it's about 2 years old. Room for 4 CD drives, 2 floppy drives, and 4 hard drives. Easy to take apart... has that quick release feature so you can get into it without unscrewing a lot of things. I got a fan stuck in on the front of the case near the hard drive slots. it works, but it's just stuck... I stripped a screw and I never had the time (or effort) to get it out. Will include free, if you can get it out, it's yours. 120MM, clear, Blue LED. with speed controler.
I have another case fan I will sell for an extra 15.
I'm asking $30; $25 for RS members ($45; $35 with extra fan) ((fans cost so much :( ))
~Gigabyte S-Series (945) Motherboard. Supports Core 2 Duo processors. Windows Vista Ready. 1 PCI-E x16 slots, 3 PCI slots and 3 PCIE slots. Since I bought my first gaming rig, this motherboard has been pwning long and hard. Supports up to 4 GBs of DDR2 667 RAM (I will include or exclude on buyers choice)
Without RAM $75; RS members $65
With RAM $110; RS members $100
If you just want the RAM (PC 5300, DDR2 667) I will sell each stick for $20. They are all fairly new and should last a long time. I have never overclocked them.
~600W Rosewill Power Supply. Speaks for itself. It's a really nice power supply. Blue LEDs are bright and work. 2 80MM fans move air very fast. Black color. All the cables are wrapped in a protective wire. Connectors are as follows: 2 SATA Power; 6 LEGACY (4pin) Power; 2 floppy power; 20 + 4 main motherboard power; 8 pin and 4 pin CPU power; SLI Ready (2 PCI-E 6 pin power)
I never really used it. I bought it and then my hard drive bugged out and the return warranty is over... I bought it for 80 so I'm asking $75; $70 for RS members.
~Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz CPU. This is probably the thing I will have the hardest time parting with. Even for a low end core 2 duo, this thing really did work. With and 8800 GTS with 2 GBs of PC 5300 RAM I got 100 FPS all the time in every game with the settings blasted all the way up. That was with an 8800 GTS though... Still, even with a low end card, it never got too hot or overworked. This is a "locked" CPU so you can't overclock it, but it's still a great little beast. Perfect for a low end gaming rig. 2 years old and still running great.
I will supply the cpu fan and some Arctic Silver thermal paste. I'll ask for $150; $135 for RS members.
~1 DVD-ROM/CD-RW Drive. IDE by WRITEMASTER. DVD-R/CD-RW Dual Layer drive. Nothing is wrong with it. Great drive. Really fast. Comes with a CD full of NERO essentials.
I am asking $25; $20 for RS members
Other things you "might" be interested in.
Keyboard: Micro Innovations Desktop Elite. Great keyboard. Perfect for someone in a business. Has all the buttons for media control and web browsing, as well as some computer main function features like turning your computer off or putting it to sleep. It's a basic keyboard, nothing to big other than what I previously stated. Black with silver buttons.
$15 It's a great keyboard for everyday use.
Sound Card: Creative Xtream X-Fi. This sound card is a beast. Creative knew what they were doing when they built it. X-Fi is amazing and I don't know how I would do half the things I do on my computer without it. I plan on becoming a studio producer and I've started my sound training in Fruity Loops and have recently moved to ProTools. For gaming you can hear everything crisp and clear. Supports up to 7.1 surround and comes with a CD for drivers and program controls. Has an AUX IN port; Front panel port; and a SPIDIF_OI port. I don't know if you can overclock a sound card, but I didn't.
I will sell it for $85; $75 for RS members.
COMBO DEAL (yay)
500W Power supply. Works. No PCIE power. 4 sata power, 2 legacy power, 2 floppy power, 24 pin mobo power, 4 pin cpu power
Tacky Case Light. Bright Blue case light for the top of bottom of your case. Sticky feet wore out, I use duct tape to keep it in place and it seems to get the job done.
4 Pin LEGACY power to 6 Pin PCI-E adapter: Works like a charm. Great for... whatever needs a 6 pin power adapter!
Asking $50 for everything.
Misc. SATA cables. I think I have like 5 or 6... Selling all for $5
Extra Case fan controller. Connects to a 2 pin port on the fan and controls the speed. 5$
