For all you people who like to complain about gas prices, I filled up my 2002 Chevy Silverado today. Here's a pic of my receit. That's a new record for me.

2.03757 CAD!!!!

omg thats crazy! i filled up my tank and it coast me around 35 dollars! i drive a 06 Scion XA.

:eek: That's Crazy,..but lets see it's 4 liters to make a gallon ? idk. Anyway..Gas prices around here(Indiana), are ranging from 3.02 to 3.35 a gallon.Takes almost $50 to fill my Jeep to the brim. The only good thing, sense I don't drive much, a tank of gas lasts me a month. The woman usually does all the driving,..and her mini van, gets so much better gas mileage. here's a "when I was a kid", story,..When I gratuated high school, gas was .67 cense a gallon! :eek: Where have the good days gone????

Dam that's painful!! Your truck has a 32 gallon tank? Mine only has a 26, is it a diesel? $47.00 in taxes!!! If you take that away, you're still under $3.00 a gallon. I went to fill mine the other day, and when it hit $70.00 I just shut it off......

My friend had one of them big world crushing soccer mom suv's with a 40 gallon tank and it costs her around $120 everytime she fills up. evil gas!

lol creepy. I live in this middle of nowhere county in jersey where everyone thinks their hicks. This kid comes to school with a mud covered jeep every day and parks it on any snow/dirt mound he can find :P

Colorado is about 3.05 / gal for 87 grade.

I spend ~40 for my suv, twice a week. I get 25 MPG but when I go through 4 gallons a day it adds up.

haha my milage is seasonal.... 14.5 mpg in the winter and 22 mpg in the summer.... damn winter mix diesel... good scheme though i guess... lets cut diesel by 30% with a cheaper fuel, kerosene, while charging $.30 or more per gallon.... costs me nearly $100 to fill my tanks from 1/3

It's gas Bears not diesel. Our taxes are so much because we don't have tolls anywhere. The government uses our taxes on gas to pay for such things as snow removal, repaving and new bridges etc.

We have a lot of taxes on ours too just not quite that much. The goverment just likes to hide them. Give or take on that amout of gas there would be roughly $15 to $20 in tax included in the price.

Then don't forget the goverment taxes the profit the oil companies make.
They tax the profit the tankers make when they deliver.
They tax the profit the service stations make when they sell it.
They tax the pay of the employees that pump the gas.
They tax the money customers made at there jobs before they got gas.
........................

Anyway I would still rather pay $15 or $20 instead of $47 like you do. Then deal with an ocassional toll. I know you traveled toll roads when you came to my house but typicaly I seldom need to travel on a toll roads. Even so the turnpike toll from my house to phili is only a couple dollars. Most other roads are maintained from that lessor $15 to $20 tax we pay.

PS: Got to love that HST tax that you have. 13% WOW I bet they are just loving the increased gas price! The higher the price the more money they make and the more they inflate the price.

Exactly Glen. If I don't have money on me sometimes I can get away with Monopoly money. Depends if the clerk has a top hat and monocle.

P.S. That's for the lowest octane or regular as we call it. For 93 octane or supreme its 1.24 a litre.

chevy all the way.. that new commercial, talking about how great the front tow hooks are... that's so the chevy's don't break off the weaker tow hooks when they're towing the Ford's back to the shop... built like a rock.. haha that sucks. 95 Z71 baby.. woot

I actually feel the same way.... Powerstroke/Duramax/Cummins all good to me, only the Cummins will need a transmision replaced a whole lot sooner. I love the looks of the newer Fords. The newer GM trucks, (as much as it kills me to say it), are kinda ugly in the front, tear*

I am not a brat...I have a job...my Dad just fills my car up for me and I just accept it and say thank you...

And I am given money by them constantly...they just had childhoods where they couldn't always have what they wanted and they feel that I should never need or want for anything. and I do realize I have a really blessed life...

sold my 1999 gmc sierra for a 2002 accord coupe, sierra a year ago cost 70ish
accord today cost...35ish..not going to complain about that. 7k difference in cars and in like 2-3 years ill probably have saved that much for how much i drive..haha
