Any ideas for a good name?

A couple of months ago, my dog which I'd had for 15 years died. Today I gave in to the family pressure and got a new puppy. He's about 8 weeks old. He's part golden retriever and part (maybe) lab. I would welcome ideas for a name.

I personally like the Hebrew ones, oh or you can just name him RSdog the first :P

You should name him Hax. It's knida like Max (popular dog name)(also my sons name......) but it's different. Then when you call him, you get to run around the house yelling, "Hax!....Hax!"

Call him DG (short for Daryl Gates).

I picked Kepler (after Johannes Kepler the astronomer) for my golden retriever, and Vanora (call her Nora) which is a Scottish female name meaning "White wave" since she has a white wave of fur on her chest over an otherwise dark brown coat.

Sonofabitch. It works on a couple of levels. 1. It is technically correct. 2. As anyone who has been on vent with Johnny knows, it is one of his favorite phrases. 3. When you have a new puppy, you always end up saying that a lot anyway. As in "The little SOB peed on the carpet again!" or "SOB that dog will not stop whining! What do you want?"
